What's new in OnlyStopWatch 4.21:
Simple looks
The main window of this application is kept simple, making it highly accessible for a broad range of users, regardless of their PC skills or previous experience with similar programs.
The interface is nothing special, but it's focused especially on the time, showing a chronometer with milliseconds and a few options at the top of the window.
Working with the timer
While you can also control the time using predefined keyboard shortcuts, the “Program” drop-down menu enables you to show milliseconds and the hour, start the timer at program startup and continue or pause the countdown with a single mouse click.
Letting you choose between a stopwatch and countdown, OnlyStopWatch provides no help section, but everything's pretty easy to use, which should make it appropriate for all types of users.
The advantages of being portable
Another good thing about the program is that it's fully portable, which means you can easily copy its files on a USB removable drive and use it on the go, without the need for prior installation. Plus, it doesn't leave any traces in the Windows registry.
Performance
It runs on low resources and doesn't seem to slow the operating system at all, regardless if we are talking about Windows XP, Vista or 7. And it doesn't even require administrator privileges to work properly.
Bottom line
Overall, OnlyStopWatch is a decent piece of software, but it still needs a bunch of improvements to cope with today's users' demands. More configuration options and a much more appealing interface would be great enhancements, but it's still a good thing that it's being delivered as such a lightweight package that's also portable.

With the Clock gadget on your Windows desktop, you can easily keep track of time. The Clock gadget allows you to change clock styles and set different time zones if needed. A gadget, by the way, is a small applet that fills a specific function, such as telling you what time it is. You can arrange multiple gadgets on the desktop by repeating these steps.
If you add multiple clock gadgets to the Windows desktop, you could keep track of the current time where each of your children live so you don’t call them during dinner or your grandchildren’s bath times.
If you travel a lot with your laptop, you could keep track of the local time and the time back home by displaying more than one clock. You could even use two different styles of clock to tell them apart at a glance.
1Right-click the desktop and choose Gadgets.
The Gadget Gallery appears.
2Click the Clock gadget and drag it to the desktop.
The Clock gadget appears on the desktop where you dropped it, in its default clock style.
3To make changes to the clock style or change the time zone, place your mouse over the Clock and click the Settings button.
When you move your mouse over the gadget, a panel flies out; click the Settings button on this panel. (It sports a little wrench symbol.) The Clock dialog box appears.
4Click the Next or Previous buttons to move through the various available clock styles.
If you wish, you can enter a name for the clock in the Clock Name field. For example, if you’re setting up a clock to show the time where your daughter Peggy lives, you might type Peggy’s Home. Top arma 2 mods. To change the time zone, click the arrow in the Time Zone field and choose the time zone you want this clock to use when computing the time.
You can display a second hand on your clock by clicking the Show the Second Hand check box in the Clock dialog box.
5Click OK.
The clock settings are saved.
To remove a gadget from your desktop, just place your pointer over it and then click the Close button (marked with an X) that appears next to it. The gadget closes. Follow the steps above to display it on the desktop again at any time.
Be it a home screen of a smartphone, a tablet or an iPod touch music player, if I were to say that almost all of us like to sport a cool and elegant clock widget on it, I would not be exaggerating. If we do so on our handhelds then why deprive our desktop of those neat looking clocks.
Digital Clock Milliseconds
Indeed Windows 7 and Vista come with a clock, and even clock gadgets, but what we are going to talk about today is no way similar to them. We will introduce you to two simple yet amazing digital desktop clocks that will recreate the feel of the digital clocks on smartphones (may be better than that). Let us check them out.
Horloger
Horloger (tip sent by our reader Ahmad) is a HTC Style desktop clock gadget for Windows Vista and 7. Though its default looks are somewhat like the HTC sense clock, it can be customized easily with skins. Once you download, install and run the clock you will see the digital clock somewhere on your desktop wallpaper.
Click and drag the clock to set its position on the screen. Once you are satisfied with the position right click on the clock and select lock from the context menu. The clock position will then be locked avoiding any accidental displacement.
To fiddle with the clock, right click on it and select settings. You can now decide whether you want to display seconds or minutes count, try different skins, and set the transparency.
On the date and time tab you can select the date and time format.
The position tab allows us to set one of the three default positions for the clock manually. You can always click and drag the clock anywhere on the screen by checking the manual position option.
The clock starts automatically with Windows. Over all Horologer is a decent clock and while testing it I noticed a memory usage of 75mb (average) along with a CPU usage of 8-12%. The results might vary on your computer though.
HTC Home
HTC Home is yet another artistic HTC sense like clock gadget for your Windows desktop. Along with a digital clock, just like Horloger, HTC Home also comes with weather forecast. To get started, as usual, download, install and run the clock application.
Click and drag the clock to position it on your desktop. Once you make up your mind right click anywhere on the clock pin it.
To configure the clock right click again on the clock but this time select options.
On the general tab you can configure the date & time settings along with user interface, update and language settings.
On the weather tab you can configure your current location to get weather updates from MSN.
On the style tab you can change the widget’s looks and style. Select the new style you want to apply and press the ok button. Once you select a theme the clock will apply the changes and restart automatically with a different look. Puffin web browser for windows 10.
Comparing the memory usage HTC Home consumed around 75Mb memory with a CPU usage of 28-32% which is pretty high. Again, you gotta test it at your end and see how it works. It might be a small price to pay for this dashing gadget.
